Typed letter signed : Dresden, to Ernest Newman, 1922 June 27.

A letter of recommendation for the Russian composer and pianist Nikolay Medtner. Rachmaninoff, a staunch supporter of Medtner's talent, reports Medtner's escape from Russia, praising his compositions and piano playing. He states that conductor Henry Wood had agreed to engage Medtner to perfrom his Piano concerto. Rachmaninoff asks Newman to use his authority and connections to further Medtner's career as a pianist.
